IMPORTANT NOTICE
The museum will not be running train rides in November to give our train crews a much-deserved break. We will be open regular hours and running our Operation Toy Train event during this time.
Santa Trains, however, will begin on November 30th. The museum will not offer general admission entry for the duration of our Santa Train event to better serve our Santa Train ticketholders. Our Santa Trains are a reservation-only event, and walk-in tickets will not be available.
The Danbury Railway Museum is located in the heart of Danbury, Connecticut. Our fully restored train station, built in 1903, houses a collection of historically significant artifacts and a research library covering railroading’s rich heritage in New England and the northeast United States. Just behind the station is an extensive rail yard, featuring over 60 pieces of historic railroad equipment and rolling stock. The Museum and rail yard are open year-round. Family-friendly rides aboard our historic trains are offered every weekend between April and October (and in December), and special event trains are operated for Easter, Autumn, and Christmas. Welcome aboard!
